Redwoods!!!!

Sunday, we got up early and headed south to go see the famous Redwoods. Wow oh Wow! They aren't kidding, these trees are HUUUUUGGGGEEE! Can't wait to post the pics on here. We spent the day in the Redwood National Forest, and went to this place called, Trees of Mystery. It was a neat touristy type place.  I loved seeing those trees in person and up close. So amazing. It was a long day of driving, and we made it back to Port Orford just in time to eat dinner at, The Krazy Norwegian. I had my first Fish and Chips. Delicious! We both loved our meal, and then headed back home to call it a day. Turns out the Krazy Norwegian is this small, quaint, seafood cafe type place. Very small, and very popular. Everyone goes there apparently. You know the place must be good if everyone goes there. Okay, here ya go....Redwood pics for you!....:-)

On our way, we passed by a Prehistoric Gardens....haha..too funny...we stopped at the entrance and had an impromptu photo op!
"Get your knees flexin and your arms T-rexin"
This is the entrance for, Trees of Mystery. It had a Paul Bunyan theme too it. There was a guy talking in a mic hidden somewhere acting like Paul...cheesy but funny.

I forget what they called this one, but it had 7 different trees growing out of one!

 The Elephant Tree

 The Upside Down tree

I crawled under a tree...what? Next time I go to see the Redwoods, I'm gonna find the one you can drive through.
The bottom of a 300 year old tree that hasn't rotted.
 Close up!
 Awww...:-)
 Wow....these trees are tall.

I loved taking pictures from this view point. Helps put it in perspective.

This one is 297 ft. tall!

Cathedral tree....people getting married here...They've made it soo tacky...but hey, you wanna get married at a tree, get married at a tree!

 He's adorable I tell ya!
 Goofy pic!
One of my favs from the day.
The Brotherhood tree....biggest tree in this area.

We took a sky trail up to the top, this is one of the views of the ocean.

This bird is a Stellers Jay. This was the first time Daniel had seen one, my second. Beautiful, aren't they?
 Sunny pic!
I thought this tree was cool looking so here it is.

The humidity is just as bad here as it is in the south, just not as hot. So, I still cannot control my hair no matter what I do. It just has to curl up. LOL

I love how the sun comes through the trees in this one.
 Candelabra tree
Loved the way the moss covers the branches.
They have all of these wood carvings telling the story of Paul Bunyan.

Whoa bear! hahaha
