We made the news...

Remember me telling you about the major BRPE disturbances Cheryl and I have been experiencing? Well, our COMU's made the news. This first link is an article and video (you should watch!!) of Roy, the head Fish and Wildlife manager of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. The video shows what we have been seeing so you can finally see what I've been talking about. (the video doesn't show too much so no worries)...

This next article/video is of my boss' boss, Rob Suryan. He's Cheryl's advisor and the guy who is basically in charge of all of us. He's awesome and you should watch this video too.

I did another carcass walk this morning, and counted 288 dead murre chicks in a mile stretch. I had several people come up to me asking me what I was doing, and wanted to know what was causing it. It's nice to know people are concerned about what is happening to our birds. Even though what is happening is just nature, its still disappointing. But, like you will hear in the videos. COMU's are abundant right now, they aren't threatened or endangered. Anyways, watch these two short videos I linked for you above.
