Tuesday we went trapping in Pasco, Washington. It's about an hour away from where we are living. We divided up into two different teams, and went trapping away. I think we got somewhere around 30 owls or something. CRAZY. But, it was awesome. I again banded, weighed, and measured my own owls on my own. I gotta get better at it, get more experience with it, so DJ is making sure that happens. The other group had a burrow that they thought had 10 chicks that were around 14-15 days. This is the time when they band the kids. So, when we found that out, we were excited. Correction: I WAS EXCITED!! And then DJ was like, I want Cherry to band them all. This guy is awesome...totally in my corner. He may drive me crazy sometimes because he is unpredictable, but he's awesome. So, all of us went out, got the babies out, and I banded them one at a time. I'm not sure if anyone got a picture of all of the babies together. It was such a fast situation, but I for sure got two pictured with me, on DJ's camera. Not sure when I will get that pic, but when I do, I will share it with ya. I was on CLOUD 999!! My camera decided to die right as we were taking photos of the babies. Luckily, DJ had his camera, but I haven't received those pictures. I will before I leave though. I'm accessing the internet at the Starbucks in the local town. In Oregon, there are Starbucks at every town pretty much. Even the small ones. Starbucks country, lots of you coffee drinkers would love it. :-) Pics for you to enjoy:)

Me with my first girl without DJ's guidance...heck yeah man...if I look sweaty in this pic, it's because I was sweaty, it was 84...yuck!
A pair inside the trap, I banded both of these lovely owls.
Had to get a money shot for DJ
An owl with a geolocator on it's back, Rocky is about to take it off of him.
Slowly and carefully taking the geolocator off
Ahh, all better without that thing on my back :)
BABY!!!!
Me and one of the babies:)
hehe, aren't they cute as ever?
Me banding the kid, and the kid screeching at me...lol
Me talking to the owlet while I'm banding, hoping it might get it to stop screeching....nope, that didn't work.
It finally calmed down a little while I finished up.
Omg, this picture is so precious...I could've held these babies FOREVER!
Me and another crewmember's kid holding 2 of the babies while they angrily screech!
Are those real owls? I mean are they like Chia Pets or something?
