I had no idea what to name this blog update, so random it is! I've been trying to figure out my work routine this week. Figure out what works best, and what doesn't. Making my own schedule sort of, but also managing the time I need to do data entry and video stuff. On Mondays I have to change out the battery for the camera we have set up recording activity on my rock. Okay, can I just say something? Batteries are heavy. Seriously. And it wouldn't be so bad if you were allowed to tip them over on the side, but you can't. And where all of my camera stuff is placed is underneath a shore pine tree....which is more like a bush. So it requires crawling. Have you ever tried to crawl with a heavy battery? Yeah didn't think so. Oh the challenges of work. ha. Today was my first day of reproduction plots, which means trying to sight birds that I can resight and that also have eggs. Yeah, I didn't find any today. Ugh it sucked. But, I felt a little better when I talked to my boss about it, and she said most of the birds haven't layed eggs yet. Also, the high powered scope I use can't be out in the rain, and it rained after being out there for 2 hours, so I had to use my other scope which makes it even harder. Bla bla bla....okay, there's my work week so far. I had 6 temporary housemates this week. One was an educational outreach person for Fish and Wildlife, and the other 5 were working on a turkey vulture project. They were all really cool and nice. Whew. But they all left today, so I'm home alone until Friday when 3 more people show up for just the weekend. Anywho...here are some random pics for ya..

I guess I could've aligned this picture correctly. Anyway, this statue is at the Native American cemetery at Gregory Point.
My backyard....this trail loops around..it's a great trail to walk.
